Grants |
ChathamArts offers Grassroots Arts Grants annually to support community based arts programs benefiting Chatham County. Funding is available to any non-profit organization offering programs or events taking place in Chatham County.
The Grassroots Arts program is made possible by the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, who believe that a great nation deserves great art.
2007-08 Grassroots Arts Grants
ChathamArts plans to provide funding again in 2007-08. The deadline for grant applications is May 1, 2007. This cycle will support community based arts programs taking place July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008. Please check back here for more information soon!
2007-08 Emerging Artists Grants
ChathamArts is pleased to partner with the Durham Arts Council to offer Emerging Artist Grants to artists in Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, and Person Counties. This program offers funding to artists who have mastered the basic technique of their art form and are launching their professional life. These funds may also support established professional artists who are working towards taking their career in a new direction. Please see the Durham Arts Council website for more information.

ChathamArts awarded seven 2007-08 Grassroots Arts Grants, supporting a wide variety of community arts programs across Chatham County.

| Shakori Hills | Artist fees and marketing for Moonlight Music and Dance Series | $1,100 |
| Central Carolina Community College | Technical director expense for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest dramatic performance | $250 |
